Belkkin and welcome You have covered a lot of ground. Since I had this Belkin wireles routre at home which has been doing pretty good, I decided to buy a belkin wireless card too. As yet Belkin do not offer a driver for Windows 7 and their Vista one doesn’t work.
Do you mean use workgroup with that old sabrent card?
If you are using homegroup you could consider changing it to workgroup which uses IPv4. It would some a fe wminutes and then do nothing for the next 12 hours. Let us know if you need help with the change Ken J.

Belkin F5D8001 N1 Wireless Desktop Card Windows Drivers, Utility
The adaper is shown as online but says no connections available, not connected. My old PC was a Dell Dimension the specifications of which can be viewed in my profile. I had a sabrent wireless desktop card that was a major problem after upgrading to Windows 7.
It uses IPv6, which can display random hangs, drops, connectivity problems. If you’re running one, can you please mention what version it is too. If I point to the drivers folder on the CD it does not work too. The seller refused to buy the card back! The new build was mostly new parts, except I was hoping to bring over my wireless network card.
